Hypha Private Equity (“Hypha”) has expanded its investment team with the appointments of Adam Watson (Associate Director), Ayushi Sharma (Investment Manager), Mark O'Hara (Investment Associate) and Louis Charlton (Head of Finance). The enlarged team deepens Hypha’s sector coverage and execution capacity as the firm advances its mandate to partner with founder-led businesses across the technology, healthcare and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Hypha was founded to bring focus and senior engagement to a small number of high potential businesses, with these recent appointments adding sector depth, origination reach and operating capability that will help the portfolio scale with pace and discipline.

New team members

Adam Watson joined from Cairngorm Capital and brings over a decade of investing, advisory and operating experience. Before Hypha, he worked with Cairngorm Capital focusing on healthcare and business services, HSBC’s M&A team, including time in Australia to expand coverage and offering, and served as Chief of Staff and a board director at Verso, a UK wealth management platform.

Ayushi Sharma joins Hypha with a focus on technology and healthcare, having invested across different stages and around the world. Prior to Hypha, she covered health-tech, data services and financial services at Hg and previously led investments in Africa and Asia for British International Investments.

Mark O’Hara joins Hypha from Cordovan Capital, where he specialised in sourcing and executing investments across the Irish lower midmarket. His experience spans technology enabled services and healthcare transactions, with a strong emphasis on supporting founder-led businesses and driving growth strategies.

Louis Charlton joins Hypha as the Head of Finance, responsible for fund finance, reporting, controls and investor operations. He was previously Fund Controller at Asper Investment Management, where he was responsible for the financial control of multi-jurisdictional and complex fund structures across the UK and Europe.
